FOREWORD
The holdings of the Eisenhower Library continue to grow as new collections are acquired, and more
collections become accessible as processing is completed. This current list is intended to serve as
a useful guide to the holdings, and includes several significant collections acquired and opened since
the publication of the last listing. Because of this continued growth, researchers should always
contact our staff prior to visiting the Library regarding all our holdings.
During the month of June 1996, the Library set a new record in the number of research visits. This
is encouraging news that demonstrates a renewed interest in the Eisenhower presidency era and in
World War II. I wish to remind researchers that the Library holds a valuable collection pertaining
to Eisenhower's military career, particularly that of World War II.
The Library also has several special subject guides to its holdings on various topics [e.g., civil rights,
science and technology, women's studies, agriculture, etc.], as well as guides to motion picture
holdings.
If you have any questions whatsoever concerning the Library's collections, the use of those materials,
or arrangements for performing research at the Eisenhower Library, please feel free to contact our
staff. We are here to serve the researcher and to make your time at the Library profitable.
