17. Peter[4] Vohs (Caspar[3] Vohs, Georg Joseph[2] Voos, Caspar[1] Voos) He was born 4 June 1842 at Oberselters in the Dukedom of Nassau.[68] He died on 18 May 1896 and is buried in the Wea Cemetery row 12, lot 134.[69] His occupation was listed as farmer in Wea, Kansas, in the 1870, 1875, 1880 and 1895 census records. The inventory of his estate consisted of 184.95 acres of land, 1 harrow, 1 sulky rake, 1 harrow, 1 mower, 1 corn planter, 1 cultivator, 1 wagon, 1 cultivator, harness, collars and pads, 6 horses, 5 cows and 65 hogs. The value of his estate, not including the land, was about $600.[70]
First he married Margaret Pabst about 1868. She was born in Prussia about 1845-46. She died of typhoid pneumonia on 19 October 1869 after the birth of their one son. She is buried in the Wea Cemetery, row 12, lot 134.[71]
Second he married Caroline Eder of Eudora, Kansas, about 1871. She was born about 1849 in Germany. She died about 1881 They had five children.[72]
Third he married Josephine (Josee) A. Bishop on 8 June 1882. She was the daughter of John Bishop and Maria Bishop. Rosa Vohs and J. Redeker were the witnesses for their marriage.[73] She was born in April 1863 in Kansas. They had seven children. Between the 1900 and 1910, she married [-?-] Creighton.[74]
