WILLIAM A. VOHS

31. William A.[5] Vohs (Joseph[4] Vohs, Caspar[3] Vohs, Georg Joseph[2] Voos, Caspar[1] Voos) He was born in July 1862 in Missouri. He died in 1933, buried in row 6, lot 87 of the Wea Cemetery. When he was married in 1886, his occupation was recorded as farmer. In the late 1880's William ran a livery stable in Olpe, Kansas.

He married Elizabeth Redecker (Readecker, Redeker) on 16 November 1886. Elizabeth Redecker was born in Frankfort, Kentucky in August 1870. She was the daughter of Adam Redecker and Theresa Khar. She died in 1945, buried with her husband in the Wea Cemetery.

During the 1895, 1900 and 1905 census the family lived in Miami County and during the 1910 census they were living in Indian Creek Township, Anderson County, Kansas. On 1 January 1914, his mother's death notice reported that this family lived at Westphalia, Kansas.[153]
