IDA FRANCES VOHS

61. Ida Frances[5] Vohs (Eugene[4] Vohs, Caspar[3] Vohs, Georg Joseph[2] Voos, Caspar[1] Voos) She was born 30 October 1877 at Wea, Kansas. She died 15 December 1965 and is buried in row 6, plot B45 at St. Mary's Cemetery, Louisburg, Kansas. She was married 20 January 1910 at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, Wea, Kansas, to Terrance W. McGuirk. He was the son of Patrick Henry McGuirk who was born in Monaghan, Ireland and Mary Anne McCluskey (married 26 November 1876 at Paola, Kansas). He was the grandson of Terrance McGuirk and Ellen Kubra of County Monaghan, Ireland. Terrance W. McGuirk was born 17 September 1878 at Louisburg, Kansas. He died 13 January 1951 and is buried with his wife. He earned his living as a farmer. (It is interesting to note that Martha Elizabeth Vohs the great, great granddaughter of Anthony Vohs, married Sean Furniss, whose mother Maire Keenan was born in Monaghan, Ireland.).[220]

• 204. i Mary M.[6] McGuirk was born 25 November 1910 at Paola, Kansas. She worked at the Louisburg Herald and the Post Office until she went to Kansas City, Missouri, to work at Rockhurst College in the early 1940's. She retired from the college in 1980.

• 205. ii Paul E. McGuirk was born 22 April 1913 at Louisburg, Kansas. He married Juanita Lombardo. He served in the Army during World War II, worked for Bell Telephone Company and retired in 1975 in St. Louis, Missouri.

• + 206. iii Joe T. McGuirk was born 18 April 1915, married LaRaine Rosner on 20 September 1945.

• 207. iv Frances McGuirk was born 5 October 1921 at Louisburg, Kansas. She married E. Lewis Grace in 1943. She graduated from the Urseline Academy at Paola, Kansas. She worked as a secretary in Kansas City until her marriage. She and her husband lived in Ohio.
