some downtown stores
In 1998, centennial year, White's Department Store (red top, right) had become Pizazz Video (They closed in 2002). Out of sight, across the street, is the grocery store. Earlier, Pizazz had been at the now-vacant spot, next to Red Fortune Chinese Restaurant, but those stores burned. Red Fortune moved a few doors east. The top floor of the old brick high school, now Community Center, is visible over the top of the buildings.
