Ellinor Hoss Bible

     I, Ellinor (Hoss) Bible, came to Barber County, at an early age with my parents
  Hullie (H.E.) and Esther. I gew up on the ranch he purchased. My sister, Harriet,
  my brother, Harold, and I attended Rock School, Sun City, and Cullison High Schools;
  then I attended two years at Emporia State Teachers College, as did Cecil Bible, my
  husband. I returned home and taught five years at Rock School; Cecil taught there
  one year and my sister Harriet taught the last year the school was open.
     At Cullison I met my future husband, Cecil Bible. He spent much time on the
  ranch helping my father harvest the feed for the cattle and one winter he even fed
  some cattle.
     My oldest daughter, Connie, was born in the house in which I was raised. Connie,
  with two years of college at El Paso, Texas, and Denver, Colorado, is employed by
  the Internal Revenue Service in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
     I had two other children: C. Mitchell (Mitch), a graduate of photography in
  Columbia School of Fine Arts in Chicago, married Diane Houde of Gardner, Massachusetts;
  they live in Chicago. E. Leanne Rice is presently employed by the Park Board in the
  city of Wichita; she has one son Justin Paige.
     We have spent most of our lives and raised our children in the Wichita and
  Mulvane area, as Cecil was employed by Boeing as a Methods Job Analyst. We spent five
  years in El Paso, Texas, when Cecil was sent there by Boeing on a modification project
  for the Air Force.
     We have spent many week-ends on the ranch, and my children have great memories of
  that and the beauty of Barber County and the Sun City area.
     At present we live in Wichita, Kansas, have our real estate licenses, and are very
  busy. Barber County holds many memories of dear friends and experiences. Life has
  been better for it.
