Bruce Bryan


     Joseph Bruce Bryan of Pasadena, California and Cynthia Marie Tucker of Kiowa, Kansas,
  met in January of 1966 in Manhattan, Kansas. Bruce was a medic in the Army at Fort
  Riley and Cindy was a Home Economics student at Kansas State University. During the
  next two and one half years, Bruce completed his military obligation which included a
  tour of Viet Nam and returned to California to attend Pasadena City College where Cindy
  completed her Bachelor of Science degree in merchandising.
     On June 28, 1969 they were united in marriage at the Congregational Church in Kiowa,
  Kansas. They spent the next two and one half years in Pasadena, California. Bruce
  attended California State University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in
  Business and Finance. Cindy was employed as an assistant department manager by the J.W.
  Robinson department store chain.
     In late 1971, they returned to Kiowa. Bruce joined Cindy's father and uncle as a 
  partner in the Tucker Company. The Tucker Company is a wholesale-retail farm supply and
  tire store.
     The Bryans have two children. A daughter, Lacey Ellen was born April 4, 1975 and a
  son Jeff Joseph was born May 20, 1977.
     Cindy and Bruce joined the congregation of the Kiowa Congregational Church on June
  3, 1979. Both enjoy working in church and community activities. Cindy is an active
  member of the GFWC, KFWC, Kiowa Estudie Jr. Club. Bruce has been active in several
  organizations: The Chamber of Commerce, The South Barber Booster Club, The Boy Scouts,
  The City Council, The Kiowa Hospital Board, and The Kiowa Air Force. He is a licensed
  pilot and enjoys collecting stamps. Cindy's hobbies include oil and acrylic painting,
  wood carving, crocheting, knitting, embroidery, quilting, stained glass, ceramics, 
  collecting art, and whatever creative handwork comes along. Their favorite pastime is
  spending time with their children, family, and friends.
