George Dotson

George Dotson (1871-1945) moved to Barber County sometime in the 1890's.
He met and married Mabel Englehardt (1882-1942) there on December 25, 1901.
They had one child, Mildred, born December 25, 1902.
Geroge and Mabel bought the Isabel Cafe on August 1, 1936, from the C.I.F.
Corporation in Wichita, Kansas for $316.40 for all fixtures and accessories.
They borrowed $100.00, paid another $100.00 on November 1, 1936 and the rest in
     monthly installments of $6.64 each.
They operated the cafe where the American Legion now stands in Isabel until
1942. Their grandson, Bill Wehling, has one of the sundae dishes which they
     used in the cafe.
