I am Marla Finlay and I came to live in Barber County in August,
  1977, having just graduated in May from Harding College in Searcy,
  Arkansas. I came here to teach special education i Medicine Lodge
  Primary School. I moved into an apartment at 208 W. Washington which
  is owned by the Allan Hibbards.
     They are lovely people and they have made Medicine lOdge seem
  more like home to me. When I moved to Medicine Lodge, I moved only
  two blocks from a family who had been neighbors when I was a little
  girl. I grew up in St. Johnm, Kansas, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Workman
  had lived right next door to us until I was about five years old. 
  It is great being near them again! I have been teaching in Medicine
  Lodge for 1 1/2 yeras. I enjoy attending church services at the
  Church of Christ here, and I enjoy the community as a whole. It is
  a friendly and warm town.
