Joe Fussell

Joe and Tessie Fussell and their eight children came to Medicine Lodge
in the fall of 1925, so they could send their oldest children to grade and
  high school.
January 1, 1926, they moved to the Sam Griffin farm, two miles east of
Medicine Lodge, on the present Highway 160. February 1, 1927, their youngest
son, Neal, was born. May 7, 1927, a tornado hit and took everything they had
except the family lives. Mr. Griffin built the house back, and Fussells
  moved back to the farm.
June 30, 1930, their youngest daughter, Jean, was born, which made them
ten children. And all are alive today! They lived on the Griffin place 15
years. They moved in 1946 to the Swartz place and lived a year. They moved
to the Herr place and lived there until they moved into Medicine Lodge in
  1947.
Joe went to work, caring for the park. He worked at the park in Medicine
  Lodge until 1952.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fussell are buried at Medicine Lodge.
The names of their children are Mary Wilson, Attica, Kansas; Lonora
