Kansas University as a Medical Technologist in 1949 and served her internship

Pat and Bob originally met in 1946 in Attica when their two fathers were
on a school planning committee in Harper County, Kansas. However, Bob had
just gotten a new car and Pat was slightly overweight. (weight circumstances
now reversed). So, the first remembered meeting was a blind date at Kansas
Unversity two years later. They were married in November of 1950 and spent
15 years in Topeka and Great Bend, Kansas. Pat was employed as a Medical
Technologist in Topeka from 1950-51 and bob was employed by the Hartford Fire
Insurance Company. During their 5 years at Great Bend (1952-57) they built a
home and their two children were born. John in 1954 aned Barbara in 1955.
John and Barbie finished grade and junior high in the Hardtner School,
with John receiving his high school diploma from Hardtner High. Barbie was in
the first graduating class of USD #255, South Barber High School at Kiowa.
Following high school, John attended Coe College at Cedar RApids, Iowa and
later Parks College in Cahokia, Illinois. John married Donna Boisseau and
they now have a baby daughter, Michelle. Barbie Kille graduated from Kansas
State University with honors in 1978 and is currently in a management training
program with Sanger-Harris at Dallas, Texas.
Bob moved to Hardtner to purchase controlling interest in the Farmer's
State Bank from a combiniation of A.M. Webb, Jake Molz, Leonard Achenback,
and Forrest Ohlson. He continues to serve as President of the bank. Pat
started working at the bank in 1965 and was elected to the position of Vice-
