Earl Wayne Meairs, Jr. was born May 23, 1951 to Earl Wayne Meairs, Sr. and
  Mildred Louise Barker at Pratt, Kansas. I was born February 29, 1952 to Ival
  Wayne (Pete) Mease and Peggy Jean Axtell at Medicine Lodge, Kansas.
     Wayne and I both went to school at Isabel for all 12 years. Wayne graduated
  in 1969 and I in 1970. There were only eight students in my graduating class
  and about 32 in the whole high school. The school closed at the end of the 1970
  school year.
     Wayne and I dated all through high school. We were married August 21, 1970
  at Pratt, KS. Wayne had attended one year of college at Pratt Juco and we both
  attended Fort Hays Kansas State College. We lived in Hays for four years and 
  then moved to our present home at the Lake Arrowhead ranch near Medicine Lodge.
     We have two children, Amanda Leanne was born in Hays, KS on September 15, 1973.
  Earl Wayne Mears III (Trey) was born in Medicine Lodge on March 3, 1976. Actually
  Trey is the fourth Earl Wayne Mear4s, as his great-great-uncle, Earl Wayne Meairs,
  was the first to have the neme. We've heard so many good things about this man
  that I wish we could have known him.
     We love our ranch life and feel fortunate that our children will be able to
  grow up in a rural environment as we both did. We also enjoy the swimming, boating,
  and fishing that are available to us through the existence of Lake Arrowhead.
  Wayne's parents built this private lake and resort. It wasn't an easy task just
  any man could have accomplished. It took a tremendous amount of work and planning.
  They have made it into a beautiful place that we are proud of and feel honored
  to be a part of.
