Frank Strohl


     Frank Strohl was born August 24, 1885, in Isabel, Kansas. When he was three
  weeks old, he and his mother, brother, and sister, joined his father, Jacob,
  in Meade County, Kansas. Ten years later the family returned to Isabel.
     In 1915 Frank married Maud Estell Tilden (1884-1971) at Medicine Lodge,
  Kansas. He began working at Smith Milling Company (forerunner of Larabee
  Milling Company). Later he went to work for Red Star Milling until 1938. He
  was a member of the Methodist Church and Odd Fellow Lodge.
     Frank and Maud worked actively in community affairs, particularly in 4-H
  leadership and PTA. Through the depression they raised six children in their 
  home in the northest part of Isabel. In 1938 they moved to Norwich, Kansas.
     Their oldest son, Frank (Max), married Virginia Hiskett and lives in Fresno,
  California.
     Richard (Dick) married Josephine Freund of St. Leo, Kansas, and is farming
  south of Cunningham, Kansas.
     Gertha (Peg) married Charles Holden and is living in Columbia, South
  Carolina.
     Pat married Jim Edmonds and is living in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
     Joel married Connie Smith of Norwich, Kansas, and lives in Pretty Prairie,
  Kansas.
     Jason makes his home in Los Angeles, California.
