Olive McGuire Taliferro

Olive McGuire Taliferro, only daughter of Michael and Belle McGuire,
had five children. Aunt Olive had a pleasing personality and was loved
by all who knew her. When the children were still small, it became
necessary for her to work at various jobs in order to keep her family
together and to feed and clothe them. She took care of her mother, Belle,
during her mother's last illness and for several years prior to it.
Olive devoted much of her time to practical nursing in southern Kansas
and eastern Colorado. In 1947 she moved with her daughter, Zenoni, to
Tacoma, Washington. She loved to do needlepoint and to work crossword
  puzzles.
She was the soul of western hospitality when her friends, relatives
and acquaintances visited her. Her last home was in LaKota Beach, Tacoma,
Washington. She was truly what an aunt should be like - loving, caring,
  and understanding.
