Ronald Eugene Ward
Ronald Eugene Ward is the son of Francis E. Ward and the former Edna A.
Hamilton. He lived and went to school in many towns, but always called
Medicine Lodge 'home.' He went to Kindergarten, first grade, and graduated
from Medicine Lodge High School in 1967.
In the fall of 1967 he attended Butler County Community Junior College.
After giving it some thought, he enlisted in the United States Marine
Corps and served his time in Viet Nam. He then returned to Butler County
Community Junior College on the G.I. Bill. It was there he met his wife,
Jane Elizabeth Biggs, who was raised on a farm near Potwin, Kansas. She
graduated from Butler County Community Junior College and Wichita State
University.
They were married April 1, 1972, and lived in Wichita and Towanda before
moving to Medicine Lodge in December, 1975. Jane taught school for three
years.
To their family were born two daughters, Wendy Ann on October 24, 1975,
and Jamie Lynn, November 7, 1977.
Ron has graduated from Climate Control Institute and is presently
employed by Strong's Appliance Company, where he does the heating and
air conditioning work.
