Robert Henry Warwick
Robert Henry (Chuck) Warwick was the third son of Thomas and Elizabeth
Hunter Warwick. He had two brothers, Jack and Tom. He was born September
15, 1891, at Medicine Lodge, Kansas. His younger years were spent in and
around Medicine Lodge, and he graduated from Barber County High School
in 1910.
He served eighteen months in the Army during World War II, mostly in
France as a locomotive engineer.
Chuck, as he was known to family and friends, was a J.I. Casse dealer
for a time, and in later life had many real estate interests. He was a
member of the Amrican Legion and the Episcopal Church. In his later years,
until he reached the stage of not being able to travel, he spent most of
his summers in Manitou Springs, Colorado, where he made many friends. He
loved to visit with people and was a source of information for Medicine
Lodge and Barber County history.
Church passed away in 1974.
