Mr. and Mrs. Layle Woodard have lived on the William Steffan farm since they
  were married in 1954.
     They have three children: Michael and his wife, Dianna, have two children, a
  girl Sharon Gail, who is three, and a son, Greg Michael, who is one. They live
  in Zenda, Kansas. The next is a daughter, Kathy, who is married to Cecil Price
  of Nashville, Kansas; they have one son, Dustin Wayne, who is two years old. They
  also farm about two miles north of the Steffen farm. Last, but not least, is the
  youngest son, Gary Neil; he is still at home and attends Nashville - Zenda High
  School, as did the other two children. Gary is a junior this year.
     Layle had done the farming since his grandfather retired in 1954. The farm is
  located in the very northeast corner of Barber County where the three counties of 
  Harper, Kingman and Barber meet.
     Layle was born on a farm north of Sahron, Kansas, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John
  F. Woodard; Layle has lived in and around this community most of his life except
  for a few of his school years. He ;married Georgia Doolin of Zenda. William Steffen
  is Layle's maternal grandfather.
