I was born in 1907 to James E. Woodward and Cora L. (Burton) Woodward, who were
  married in 1905. Rex was born in 1912, and Leona was born in 1915.
     We attended the Grade School, which is now torn down, and High School, now the
  Intermediate School at Medicine Lodge.
     In 1924 we went to San Bernadino, California, and remained a year visiting out
  mother's sisters and their mother. We returned to Medicine Lodge in 1925.
     I was graduated fro Kansas State Agricultural College (now Kansas State University),
  Manhattan, Kansas, in 1929.
     During the 1930's, we left Medicine Lodge and Barber County to pursue our own
  separate ways. Our parents moved to San Bernadino, California, in 1943 and remained
  there the rest of their lives.
     I was married to Edith Stephens in 1943. Rex was married to Ruth Carlyle in 1937,
  and Leona was married to Roy Crist in 1936.
