Allie and Alfred Bartholomew moved to the Isabel community in 1928, 
     first to a farm 3 miles southwest of Isabel, near the Cliff McEntire place. 
     In 1930 they moved to Isabel and located on the property now occupied by
     Marion Fuggers. Here Francis the youngest child started to school. Edith 
     had married Bruce Hiskett and lived on the farm. Ethel married Art Moore who 
     owned a cleaning shop in Wichita, and she continued her manicurest profession.
     They have one daughter, Pamela Sims. Bert married Lois Shaw of Medicine
     Lodge and was janitor of Medicine Lodge High School. They had two children 
     Sherry and JOhn. Charles graduated from Medicine Lodge High and worked in
     Gerstner Feed Store. He married Audry (deceased) Adams and their two children
     were Charles Forest (deceased) and Sammy. Charles served in Germany in
     World War II. Francis then served in the Navy in the PHillipines. He married
     Joan Ehler in Ponca City where they still reside. They have three children
     Donna, Carol and Judy.
          Allie was born near Turon, August 6, 1886 but grew up near Aline,
     Oklahoma, as some of the family ran in the "Cherokee Strip" and obtained land. 
     She was the last of a family of twelve children. Her parents were Samuel
     and Elizabeth Davis Kelley. She never saw her father as he died before she
     was born of measle complications. She married Wiley Wells in 1907 and he
     died January 12, 1911 of pneumonia.
          Alfred was born December 10, 1875 near Haven, Kansas. His father and
     mother were Charles and Mary Guthridge Bartholomew. They later moved to 
     Kingman. He had an older brother Walter and twin brother Albert and three
     sisters Emma, Bell and Elizabeth.
          Allie and Alfred married December 12, 1912 in Medicine Lodge. They 
     farmed near Aetna, Kansas, then moved to Hardtner and built and operated
     an ice plant and a feed store.
          Allie died May 8, 1958 (cancer-heart attack). Alfred died April 25, 1959
     of heart failure after having arthritis for years.
