William, son of William and Rosa Hageman Becker was born on the Becker
     family farm, 3 miles west and 1/2 north of St. Leo, Kansas. He attended St.
     Leo School but in the 7th grade rode the bus to Isabel for 1 year. He
     served two years in the Korean War in 1952 and 1953.
          Darlene Theis, daugher of Ben and Anna Keiter Theis, was born in
     Nashville but the family moved to Kingman when she was six weeks old. She
     attended school in Kingman, Kansas. Bill and Darlene were married February
     17, 1958 and moved onto the Becker family farm west of St. Leo.
          They came to Isabel in June, 1973. They moved into the house vacated
     by Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Dixon. Their children were Kathy, now married to
     Gary Balding. They have three daughters, Anna Marie, Katrina Lynn, and
     Crystal Jo. They now live in Stockton, Missouri. Bill, Jr. is married to 
     the former Beverly Jamison of Sawyer. They have one daughter Tamara Elaine.
     Richard is now married to the former Judy Storkson, and they have one
     daughter, Ashley Dawn. Barbara Winter and her daughter Lacie Ann now live
     at Wellington, Kansas. John graduated from High School in 1986 and is now
     going to the Kansas Technical Institute in Salina. Marilyn Sue was born 
     after the family moved to Isabel. She is now a 5th grader in the Medicine
     Lodge School.
          The Becker's purchased the former Kansas Quality Egg Assn. building,
     renamed it The Becker Mfg. Co. and started building livestock equipment.
     The whole family has worked in the business at one time. Richard and Bill
     work there full time.
