Elmer Vernon Bell was born September 8, 1908 in Salem, Missouri. His
     parents were Thomas Ira and Etta Bell. He lived with his parents in the west
     part of Isabel and went to school at Isabel Grade School.
          Parthena Doris Vanderwork was born August 11, 1909 in Lakewood, New
     Mexico. She arrived in Isabel with her parents Fred and May Vanderwork on
     her first birthday. Doris graduated from Isabel High School having gone all
     twelve years at Isabel School.
          Elmer and Doris were married June 22, 1929 at Pratt, Kansas. They had
     two daughters and four grandchildren. They lived most of their married
     life in Sawyer, Kansas.
          Elmer was a railroad worker early in their married life. He worked for 
     the Pratt County Road Department until his death February 11, 1974. He is 
     buried at Isabel cemetery.
          Doris is a retired postal clerk from the Sawyer Post Office. After
     retiring Doris moved to Sacramento, California to be near her family Elva Jean
     Barnes and Darlene and husband Wendell Alff, Derek and Jana.
          Two grandsons Dwayne and Robert Vancel live in Missouri.
