Upon leaving her formative years at Isabel, Dianne Poland went to college
at Oklahoma Christian College where she played basketball on OCC's first,
short lived, girls basketball team, received a degree in Elementary Education
and married Bill Buggeln. After graduating from OCC Bill and Diane moved to
Ransom, Kansas, a small farming community, just like home. Bill preached for the
Church of Christ there for three years. After a brief move to Childress, Texas
in 1972 we returned to Great Bend, Kansas in 1973 until 1983 where Bill was
the minister for church of Christ and Dianne was busy with the children:
Cheri Dawn born in 1970, Eric Gene, born in 1974, Michelle Anne born in 1978,
and Evan William born in 1979.
The Buggeln family moved to Augusta, Kansas on July 1, 1983. Dianne is a
substitute teacher and trying to keep up with the four children all involved in
sports, church and school activities and Bill's role as a minister.
The many opportunities afforded to the young people of the Isabel community
of the times past, summer baseball teams, girls baskedball, (unknown in larger
cities in the 1960's) and school opportunities have helped in the activities
Bill and I have been involved in in each community in which we have lived.
Dianne is presently leading a singing group "Frend" which specialized in
acappela selections of fospel, wedding and popular songs.
