Dean was born January 31, 1930, one of three children of Alvin and May 
     (Cook) Cavin. He was born at Sawyer, Kansas in the home of his grandparents,
     Jim and Carrie (Hoyt) Cavin. He attended the Isabel school til 1943. On
     December 1, 1949 he married Betty Jo Honn from Attica, Kansas. They have
     served in churches in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, Washington as Dean
     has been a Baptist Minister since attending Baptist Bible College , Springfield,
     Missouri in 1952. He is now pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Attica, Kansas.
     Dean and Betty adopted a little son in 1959, JOel Dean. On October 5, 1961, 
     their daughter, Sara Ann, was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Joel and his wife,
     Donna (Harger) live in Meade, Kansas with their little son, Sustin and little
     daughter, Kaycie. He is a policeman there. Sara and her husband Willie Ponder,
     live in Attica with their sons, Willie born October 1986 and Andy born June
     1983. Dean grew up attending the little Baptist Church in Isabel and was
     baptized in 99 Springs lake.
