Leaford was the second child of 6 of Jim and Carrie (Hoyt) Cavin. He
     was born at Isabel, Kansas on December 24, 1907. He grew to manhood there,
     attending school at Eldred rural school and graduating from Isabel High in
     1924.
          Genievieve is 1 of the 9 children of John P. and Henrietta (Burch)
     Cook. She attended school at Sawyer as her father owned the telephone
     exchange there. She met Leaford while working as a telephone operator there.
          Benievieve and Leaford married in June 1927. They have 1 daughter
     Carolyn who lives in St. Louis, Missouri. They have 5 grandchildren and
     2 great grandchildren.
          Their lives together served God in a special way thru the years and
     Leaford was pastor of the Eastside Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas at the
     time of his death in October 1974. Genievieve still lives in Topeka where 
     she is still teaching children's Sunday School class and writing Bible
     lessons for Daily Vacation Bible School.
