Frank Chain was born in Pike County, Ohio in 1871. His father, John M.

went into partnership and bought Billy Hawkins registered cows. Aline Chain
finished teaching that term of school, and she and Hillman Cargill were
married July 3, 1938. They lived on the Greenleaf ranch several years. Dovie

moved there. In 1942 LaDene was born at Hardtner, Kansas while living there.
The Bently place was purchased south of Isabel, Kansas. Colin was born here
in 1944 and continues to care for the land since Hillman's death on January
