Ezra Samuel, third son of Thomas and Nancy Corrie, was born at Sumner,
     Illinois, March 2, 1875. In 1886 at the age of 11, the family moved to
     Mingona, Kansas. Two years later they moved to a farm near Isabel where 
     Ezra grew to manhood. He answered his Heavenly Father's Call to the Ministry
     and received his Exhorter's License February 8, 1894. At Kingman February 20, 
     1900 he received his Local Preacher's License.
          Ezra worked many long, hard hours on the Santa Fe Railroad during the
     summers to earn money for college. He attended Southwestern College at
     Winfield from 1901-1903; then to Garret Theological Seminary, Evanston, Illinois
     from 1903-1906. He met Mary Swim during harvest in 1902 at her brother,
     William's home near Isabel. They were married June 22, 1905. To help with
     his expenses in Seminary Ezra took care of furnaces in homes, also receiving
     money from the Seminary.
          Rockport, Illinois was their first appointment; then they moved to
     Kansas. Ezra recieved his Deacon's Orders at Wellington April 7, 1907; and 
     Elder's Orders March 28, 1909 at Kingman.
          Pontiac, Cassoday and Roxalia was their first appointment. Potwin was
     their next appointment where Margaret was born June 29, 1909. When Margaret
     was nine months old they moved to Langdon, then to Nashville in 1913. The
     1915 appointment was Ashland; 1920 was Protection. In May, 1921 Ezra was 
     taken to Wesley Hospital for mastoid surgery and complications where he
     remained until August 11.
          The next appointment was Lewis where the family resided for ten years.
     Ezra's last appointment was Jetmore, October 1934. In April of 1935 he was 
     taken to Wesley Hospital where several abcesses were discovered on his
     frontal brain. He passed away May 18 at the age of 59. Funeral services
     were at Lewis with burial at Wayne Cemetery nearby.
          After Ezra's death Mary lived with Margaret at Trousdale and Kinsley
     and passed away January 10, 1960 at the age of 79. Margaret married Leo Arensman
     August 4, 1942 at Kinsley and now resides on a farm near there. Their daughter, 
     Mary Janice Strong, son-in-law, Paul and grandson, Paul Robert III live
     near them.
