Ora Dale Dunham, the second of six children of John H. Dunham and
     Allie Twyman Dunham, was born two miles north and one and three fourths
     miles east of Isabel, Kansas on what was then known as the Phipps farm.
          He moved with his parents to Nashville, Kansas where he attended 
     grade school and three years of high school. His parents then moved to 
     Winfield where he graduated from high school. He attended American Business
     College in Wichita and was employed by the 4th National Bank until his
     father became ill and he returned to the farm to help with the work.
          In 1933 his folks moved to the Jim Doran farm southeast of Isabel.
     He worked for area farmers and also met Ana Pauline Blackwell.
          Anna Pauline Blackwell, daughter of Bert E. Blackwell and Edna
     Fincher Blackwell was born five and one-half miles southeast of Isabel,
     Kansas. She attended grade and high school in Isabel and Wichita School of
     Cosmetology and worked in Ann's Beauty Shop until 1937.
          Ora Dunham and Anna Pauline Blackwell were married May 10, 1937. They
     lived on a farm two miles east of Leon, Kansas until 1939. They then moved
     to Sanger, California.
          They moved to Stratford, California where they worked on the Edd Howe
     Ranch for five years. They farmed wheat and cotton. They then moved to
     Salinas, California. There they worked in a sugar factory and a dehydrating
     plant.
          In 1945 they moved back to Isabel. Their trwo children, Dale Dean (D.D.)
     and Lila Sue, were born in the house their mother was also born in. In 1946 
     they moved to a farm four miles east and four miles south of Zenda, Kansas.
          Lila Sue and Dale Dean attended both Spivey and Attica Schools.
          Anna Pauline worked as a nurse's assistant in the Attica Hospital for
     25 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Spivey.
          Ora workd as a contract pumper for several oil companies besides his
     farming and caring for a herd of Shorthorn cattle. He was a member of the
     Spivey Masonic Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star.
          D.D. married Caralyn Holmes and they have three daughters: Dailene, La
     Shawn and Kathleen. Sue married John Rohlman and they have a son and a
     daughter, Greg and Julie.
          Ora died in 1982. Anna Pauline then bought her mother's home and moved
     back "home" to the Isabel community in May 1983.
