One of the best kept secrets in the Elm Mills community was revealed
     October 29, 1945 when Lucky and Pauline Vanderwork Kumberg announced the
     birth of their third child, Iretha Laynne, who was born at the Hardtner,
     Kansas Hospital.
          Laynne attended her first twelve years of school at Isabel. She 
     graduated fro Fort Hays State College with a degree in elementary music.
          From 1968 to 1979 Laynne taught music in the Arkansas City, Kansas
     school system. She taught in five different schools, driving from one
     school to another during the school day. She taught music to Kindergarten
     thru the fifth grades. After school Laynne gave private guitar lessons.
          Laynne and Tom Fisher were married March 16, 1979 at friends home
     near Arkansas City, Kansas. Tom was raised in Arkansas City but was working
     in Saudi Arabia at the time they were married. Laynne moved to Saudi Arabia
     in September 1979. Tom works for General Electric Co. as a Field Representative.
     They moved to Hollywood, Maryland when they returned to the United States
     and they now live in Lemoore, California.
          "Shasta" their Alaskan Huskie dog is an important member of their
     family.
          Tom has a son Jef who is a juniot in high school at Arkansas City,
     Kansas.
