Robert Hamm, born November 14, 1935, to Donald and Mabel Hamm, 3rd of
     9 children. Raised on the farm 6 miles northwest of Isabel and attended 
     Ashton Elementary School through grade 8 (school located 5 miles north,
     1 west of Isabel). He graduated from Isabel High School in 1953. High 
     school highlights included construction of a new gym, shop and cafeteria;
     played right field on the state runner-up baseball team coached by Mr. 
     Swinson; played guard on the basketball team; and junior and senior plays. 
     Carl Hartman was the tallest player on the basketball team at 5'11". He
     attended Central Christian College in Bartlesville, Oklahoma from 1953-1955, 
     met Loretta Maltbie there and they married March 10, 1956. After their marriage 
     they farmed east of Pratt, Kansas for one year, then Robert worked as
     custodian and bus driver for the Isabel Schools for six years, coaced Babe
     Ruth and American Legion Baseball with the late Clyde Gibson. He then worked
     and managed IGA grocery stores in Mulvane and Winfield, Kansas for 6 years.
     In 1966 Robert went back to school for 2 years and began his work as minister
     for Churches of Christ in 1968. His first ministry was in Norwich, Connecticut
     3 years; Ft. Dodge, Iowa 3 yeaars; Alva, Oklahoma 6 years; currently at
     Dewey, Oklahoma 6 1/2 years. Robert and Loretta have three children: Roberta,
     born at Nashville, Kansas hospital when they lived in Isabel, is now an RN
     and head of Orthopedic Surgery Nurses at Children's Hospital in Oklahoma
     City; Terry, adopted when he was 6 weeks old, when the family lived in 
     Mulvane, Kansas, is now a senior at Oklahoma Christian College; Rhonda,
     born in Norwich, Connecticut, now a junior at Dewey High School. Robert has
     sung lead in gospel quartets for many years, these groups have recorded 4
     albums. He has made 1 missionary trip to India. He plays fine tennis, plays 
     third base in church league slow-pitch softball, rides indoor bicycle in the
     winter time.
