Nancy Willinger Hazen graduated from Isabel High School as Salutatorian
in May 1967. December 1967, Nancy married Ken Hazen, the son of Bernard and
Catherine Hazen now retired and living in Great Bend.
During the 21 years of Ken's Navel career our family lived in different
     places such as: 3 years in Sasebo, Japan; 2 years in Chula Vista, California;
2 1/2 years in Rota, Spain; 5 years in Silver Spring, Maryland; and 5 years
in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Some highlights of our travels included returning
to the states from Japan on the USS President Grant, a passenger/cargo ship,
lasting 9 days. (This was choice sea duty!)
March 12, 1972 Brian was born in San Diego, California. July 1973, Ken
and Nancy spent 5 days in Italy, touring Rome, Venice and Florence. July 23,
1975, Angela was born in Bethesda, Maryland.
During our 5 years in Maryland, Nancy enjoyed decorating cakes for Ken
to sell in the Pentagon. Ken returned from his Indian Ocean cruise with fond
memories of his visit to the Holy Land in December 1982.
July 1984, Ken retired as a Chief Yeoman and moved our family to
Cunningham, Kansas and helped Leonard and Evelyn with their farming. Ken
decided to go back to school and build on his Navy training in Business
Administration and graduated from Pratt Community College with a two year
degree. Ken is presently employed by Davies Manufacturing in Pratt.
Nancy worked part time for Eugene A. Bird, CPA in Pratt for two years.
She also took Accounting I and II at Pratt Community College. September
1986 she accepted a full time job at Southwest Truck Account's Receivable
Department and during this time she completed her study in accounting with
     Computerized Accounting.
We thank God for his many blessings and an opportunity to share some
of our fondest memories with our parents.
