Phillip Dwayne Inslee
Phillip Dwayne Inslee was born January 14, 1953 at Nashville, KS, the
second child of Theop and Phyllis Mullikin Inslee. Phillip attended elementary
schools in Pratt, Emporia, and Ogallah, KS; junior high in Suttle, AL and
Wakenney, KS; and high school in Wakeeney, KS and Ada, OK, graduating from
Ada High in 1971, lettering in wrestling. After graduation he moved to
Rogers, AR where he was employed.
On June 10, 1972 Phillip married Hazel Lee Sparks at the First United
Methodist Church in Ada, OK. Hazel is the daughter of Levi and Ruby Blevins
Sparks. They lived in Rogers, AR, until 1973 when Hazel graduated from high
school then moved to Newton, KS. They also lived in Peabody, KS before
returning to Rogers. Their first child, Levi Theophilus, was born there on
June 11, 1977. The family moved to the Ada area in the fall of 1978.Jake
Dwayne was born on March 19, 1980 and Luke Thomas was born on November 16,
1982, both in Ada, OK.
Phillip is a state certified welder and has his own welding service. He
is also a carpenter and has worked in the construction business. The family
lives on the fish farm near Connerville, OK. Phillip is designing the
underground house which they hope to construct in the near future. Their whole
family is very involved in the fish farm production.
Phillip remembers playing with his brothers on the old farm equipment,
and has several scars to prove it. He developed his love of working with
machinery from watching his father and grandfather making something from
nothing, and making it work for them.
