Ruby Dirks was born January 16, 1924, at Isabel, Kansas, one of ten
  children born to Ernest and Malina (Hellman) Kahmeyer Jr. She was
  baptized January 26, 1924, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Nashville,
  Kansas, by Pastor Duecker and was confirmed on Palm Sunday, 1937, by
  Pastor P.G. Krause.
    Roland Dirks was born May 9, 1921, at Zenda, Kansas, on of three sons,
  to Henry and Nellie (Price) Dirks. He was baptized and confirmed December
  9, 1982, at Zion Lutheran Church, Lahoma, Oklahoma, by the Rev. Joel
  Christiansen.
    Roland and Ruby were married August 27, 1942, at Pratt, Kansas. Their
  children are Roland Lee Jr. (deceased, 1943-1968), Darrel Dale, Casper,
  Wyoming; William Henry, Gillette, Wyoming; and Marcia Kay Knox, Lahoma,
  Oklahoma.
    Roland Lee Jr. is buried at Gillette, Wyoming. His burial service was
  conducted by the Rev. Oscar Mueller. Roland passed away April 28, 1987,
  and is buried in the Lutheran cemetery near Lahoma, Oklahoma. The Rev.
  Joel Christiansen conducted the service.
    Ruby lives in Lahoma where she and her daughter operate a craft businesss.
  Ruby has nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is treasurer
  for Zion Lutheran Preschool, Lahoma, Oklahoma.
