Gilbert Kahmeyer was born in Hampton, Nebraska, one of eight children of

Marion County, Kansas, to Nashville in 1913. Gilbert was baptized and in
1922 was confirmed in St. John's.
He married Erna Martha Bruns January 20, 1934, in Nashville, Kansas, at
the home of Pastor Krause with brother Walter Kahmeyer and Lavina Engelhardt
  as witnesses.
He farmed several area farms, maintained roads for the county and worked at
  Kahmeyer Service Station before retiring.

Theodore Burns and Matilda Dittmer of the Concordia and Ernestville, Missouri
area. She grew up on a farm, attending grade school and high school in
Concordia. She received her teaching certificate from Central Missouri State
Teacher's College, Warrensburg. She taught school at Lone Elm, Missouri, two

by train to Wichita after being hired by the Lutheran School where she
taught the next two years until she married Gilbert Kahmeyer. School regulations
did not permit married women to teach, so she resigned.

baptized at St. John's and attended the Lutheran School from 1951 to 1957. She
was confirmed at Behlehem Lutheran Church in Warrensburg in 1959. Judy married
