Gene Kruckenberg was born on the farm near Isabel, where he still lives
   and farms, on May 14, 1940. His father was Walter George Kruckenberg and
   his mother was Bessie Byrd Kruckenberg. He has one brother, Harold, who
   lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
     Linda Hunt ws born March 3, 1944, in Dallas, Texas, and was raised in
   Amarillo, Texas. Her parents are Herman Ward Hunt and Margarete Scott
   Hunt of Amarillo. She has one brother, Galen, who lives near Broaddus,
   Texas. Linda has taught English, literature and creative writing at Pratt
   Community College for twenty-three years.
     Gene was baptized June 16, 940, in St. John's Lutheran Church at Nashville
   and was confirmed May 29, 1955. Linda and Gene were married in St. John's 
   March 8, 1975. Linda was baptized and confirmed February 21, 1976. Linda
   also taught Sunday School.
     Gene and Linda (step-mother) have three children: Brenda Lee Newman, whose
   children are Linda, Crystal and Kyle; Gerald Lynn Kruckenberg, who has two
   daughters, Amanda and Amber, and who lives in Oklahoma; and Wesley Dale
   Kruckenberg, whose wife Kama and daughters LaChez and Bryndal Schree also
   live in Oklahoma.
