Herman William Lampe & Elizabeth Marie (Timm) Lampe
Herman Lampe was born at Mackellburg, Germany. At the age of five, he
came with his parents to Lanham, Nebraska.
Herman married Elizabeth Marie Timm in 1901. Elizabeth was born in
Hanover, Kansas, in 1880. They lived in Lanham, Nebraska, where three of
their children were born: Minnie, Augusta and Martin.
They moved to Nashville, Kansas, in 1908. They purchased one hundred
sixty acres of land one and one-half miles southwest of Nashville and
built a three-room house. Five more children, Katherine, Elmer, Lawrance,
Ella and Raymond, were born there.
Herman was an elder and held various offices in the church.
Elizabeth Marie Lampe died September 27, 1937, at the Nashville Hospital.
Herman William Lampe died on his farm March 28, 1960. They are both buried
in the Lutheran Cemetery at Nashville, Kansas.
