Martin Lampe & Fern (Laverentz) Lampe
Fern was born October 31, 1918, at Isabel, Kansas, one of six children
born to William and Anna (Wehling) Laverentz. Martin was born January
22, 1907, to Herman and Elizabeth Lampe.
Martin and Fern were both baptized and confirmed Lutherans. They were
married in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wichita, Kansas, in 1936 by the
Rev. Deffner, a friend of the Laverentz family. Their children are: Jane
Mease, bonr July 9, 1937; Charlotte Fiegel, born January 24, 1940; and
Patricia Helm, born March 25, 1943.
Jane is married to Harold Mease; they have four children, Rocky, Craig,
Pam and Penny. They live in Junction City and manage the Harvest Inn Motel.
Charlotte married Chuck Fiegel. They have two children, Kelli and Kip.
They live in Protection, Kansas, and both are employed in the Protection
school.
Patricia is married to Kenny Helm. They have three children, Jeff, Shawna,
and Troy. They live in Udall, Kansas. Pat works for the Udall school and
Kenny works at Beech.
Fern and Martin live on the farm they rented and later bought from Martin's
father; they have lived there fifty-five years.
They have nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, whom they love
and enjoy very much.
Fern's grandparents were Henry and Augusta Wehling.
They were members at Nashville for awhile.
