Edwin John Landwehr & Janice Marie (Morisse) Landwehr
Janice Landwehr was born July 30, 1943, at the homestead of Roy and Ruby
(Steele) Morisse in Nashville, Kansas. She was baptized September 5, 1943,
at St. JOhyn's Lutheran Church. She was confirmed in 1957 at the same
church.
Edwin John Landwehr was born January 21, 1943, in Greeley, Kansas. He
was one of eleven children born to Aloylsius Gerhardt Landwehr and Lenora
Bernadette (Kratzberg) Landwehr. He attended schools in Greeley, Kansas,
and continued his education at Emporia State Teachers College, Emporia,
Kansas.
While in Emporia, Ed met Janice. Ed joined the United States Navy in
1965 and in the following year was commissioned as an officer.
Ed and Janice were married June 18, 1966, at Milton, Florida, at the
Navy Chapel. They were blessed with four children: Steve Wade, September
2, 1967, born in Oakland, California; Kristina Lee, September 19, 1969,
born in Oakland, California; Suzanne Marie, July 21, 1971, born in Milton,
Florida; and Jacqueline Dawn, June 13, 1978, born in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Ed retired from the U.S. Navy in 1986. Ed and Janice presently reside
in Fort Worth, Texas, where Ed is employed by American Airlines. Janice
received her teaching certificate from Emporia State Teachers College. She
taught for a short time and now is a housewife and community volunteer.
