Ronald J. Lawrence & Christa (Laham) Lawrence

Ronald J. Lawrence was born January 31, 1934, at Nashville to Greeta
Beatrice Schiff and John Henry Lawrence, one of six boys and two girls.
He was baptized March 4, 1934, by Pastor P.G. Krause and confirmed April
   24, 1948, by Pastor A.C. Schroeder.
Ronald was married to Bettina Carnahan in June 1957. Their children
are Lori Denis, December 29, 1957; John Bradley, March 20, 1960; Mark
Oda, Mary 19, 1961; Crystal and Christopher, 1963; and Julie Mary, August
   15, 1967.
Lori married Jim Lawrence and they reside in Wichita. Mark married Latisha
Snedeker and they have two children, Crystal, four, and Christopher, three.
They also live in Wichita. Julie married Bryan Burns and they live in
Overland Park. John "Brad" was killed in an auto accident on January 29, 1982.
The twins, Crystal and Christopher, died several hours after birth.
Ron and Bettina wre divorced in 1977. Ron was married in 1981 to Christa
Laham. They live in Wichita where Ron owns his own construction company.
They attend Holy Cross Lutheran church where Ron has attended since leaving
   St. John's.
Ron has lived in Wichta most of his adult life after leaving Nashville.
He enjoys deer hunting and "over 40" basket ball and, of course, the grand
kids. He bagged two deer this season.
One of Ron's most memorable Sundays at St. John's was when the "Lawrence
boys" were playing with a steel rod in church during the service. Before
they knew it, the rod was racing down the floor toward the pulpit. Another
one was when his brother Verlin was hit by a car in front of the church as
he attempted to cross the street to visit Grandpa and Grandma, J.J. and
Eva Lawrence. This left Verlin with two broken legs and in a coma for several
   days.
