LaVerne Owen born March 10, 1917 at Nashville, Kansas son of John W. Owen
   and Emma C. Kuehn Owen. He was baptized march 24, 1917, and confirmed May,
   1930 by Pastor Krause.
     On June 25, 1939 LaVerne married Virginia Bolin at St. John Lutheran
   Church at Nashville.
     Virginia Bolin Owen was born at Nashville on July 31, 1918 was confirmed 
   at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wichita, Kansas.
     From this union, three children were born:
     Ann (Owen) Davis was born July 17, 1942. She married Chad Davis on January
   19, 1962. They have two children, Jennifer and Jeffrey, and two grandchildren,
   Whitney and Devan. They make their home in Paola and Osawatomie, Kansas.
     Richard W. Owen was born at Wichita, Kansas on June 2, 1947 and married
   Denise Coyne on March 10, 1989. They have three children, Courtney, Jamie
   and Kasey. They make their home in Wichita.
     Jody W. Owen Lien was born November 2, 1950 at Wichita, Kansas and married
   Gary J. Lien on October 19, 1970. They have two sons, Jason and Erik and
   make their home near Goddard, Kansas.
     LaVerne drove for Trailways Bus from 1938-1956. During WWII he flew for
   the Air Transport Command of the United State Air Force for 14 months. From
   1956-1982 he was the owner and operator of Owen Vending Service, wholesaler
   of Candy and Tobacco products.
