Edwin Riggert & Louise (Lulu) Riggert

Shortly after their marriage in 1928, Edwin and Louise (Lulu) Riggert
moved from the Odel, Nebraska, and Bremen, Kansas, area to a farm south
east of Isabel. At that time they joined St. John's Lutheran Church in
Nashville. In 1936, they moved to a farm southeast of Nashville and they
remained members until 1943 when they moved to a farm near Preston. At
that time, they transferred their membership to St. Paul Lutheran Church
   at Natrona.
During the years at Nasvhille, four children were born to the Riggerts:
Linnea (Linn), Melvin (Mel), Marilyn and Roger. Ed and Lulu were active
in the church and school activities. Linn and Mel attended St. John
Lutheran Church School during the 1940-1942 school year.
Louise passed away at an early age in 1962. After retiring from farming
in 1969, Ed died in 1979.
At the present time, Linn, married to Barbara Jorns of Preston, is the
owner and operator of an engineering business in Naperville, Illinois. Mel,
married to Helen Ruppel of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, is retired as a colonel
from the Air Force and lives in Vacaville, California. Marilyn married Norman
Tracy of Great Bend, Kansas, is in bookkeeping and accounting and lives in
Arkansas City, Kansas. Roger, married to Sherry Sanborn of Junction City,
Kansas, is an engineer with AT&T and lives in Annadale, New Jersey.
All of the "kids" are active members of LCMS congregations in their
respective areas and we thank the Lord for the blessings of the church and
family, especially the Christian training in our young lives as St. John's
   in Nashville.
We send our congratulations to the members of St. John's on this milestone
and for your steadfastness in faith throughout the years.
To all of our friends in the Nashville area, we wish you the Lord's richest
   blessings.
