William Voss & Juliana Caroline (Giessler) Voss


     The family of William and Juliana Voss moved from Iuka to Cunningham in
   1913 and transferred their memberships to Nashville a few years later.
   Their family history started in Humboldt, Kansas, and most of the family
   held membership at Nashville all their Christian lives.
     Willaim A. Voss was born December 23, 1860, at Cincinnati, Ohio. He died
   May 8, 1942. Juliana Caroline (Giessler) Voss was born June 4, 1869, at
   Humboldt and died May 15, 1942. They were farmers. 
     They had six boys, the eldest being John Friedrick born April 27, 1893, 
   baptized May 28, 1893, and confirmed April 4, 1909, at Humboldt. He farmed
   at Cunningham and died February 26, 1968.
     William Dietrick was born March 12, 1895, baptized April 12, 1895, and
   confirmed Arpil 4, 1909 at Humboldt. He was married but had no family; he
   was a farmer. He died November 16, 1955.
     Ferdinand Karl F. was born March 17, 1898, and baptized April 24, 1898, at
   Humboldt. He was confirmed March 31, 1914, at Olympia, Kansas. He and John
   lived on the home place and farmed all their lives. He died January 28, 1978.
     Otto Edward was born February 5, 1900, at Humboldt and confirmed March 31,
   1914, at Olympia, Kansas. He lived his married life at Cheney and had a son
   and a daughter. He died July 18, 1954, and is buried at Cheney.
     Carl Julius was born May 8, 1905, and baptized June 11, 1905, at Humboldt.
   He was confirmed April 30, 1922, at Nashville. He married Anita Wulf in 1939
   and had four daughters. He was a farmer at Cunningham. He died May 29, 1959.
     Theodore Adolf was born December 16, 1906, and baptized January 28, 1907,
   at Humboldt. He ws confirmed April 30, 1922, at Nashville. He married and
   has one son. He lives at Turon, Kansas, and is a farmer like his brothers.
     The parents and John, Ferd and Carl continued their membership at Nashville
   until the Lord called them home. Their funerals were all conducted at St.
   John's in Nashville and burial was north of Cunningham.
