Alvin Henry Westerman & Vera (Lampe) Westerman


     Alvin H. Westerman was born November 13, 1924, at Isabel, Kansas, youngest
   of four children born to John and Katie Peters Westerman. He was baptized
   November 30, 1924, in St. John's Lutheran Church, Nashville, by Pastor F.C.
   Duecker. He was confirmed on April 24, 1938, at St. John's by Pastor P.G.
   Krause. In 1930, Alvin moved at age six with his family to their farm by
   Zenda, Kansas, where he still lives and farms.
     Alvin is actibe in St. John's Men's Club, sings in the church choir and
   serves as an elder in the church.
     Vera Lampe was born April 15, 1928, at Rago, Kansas, eldest of six children
   born to Walter and Elfrieda Bartels Lampe. She was baptized May 6, 1928, in
   St. John's Lutheran Church by Pastor P.G. Krause and confirmed March 29, 1942,
   by Pasotr O.L. Mueller.
     Alvin and Vera were married May 9, 1948, in St. John's Lutheran Church,
   Nashville, by Pastor Herman Seyfert.
     Their son Melvin was born November 27, 1958.
     Vera is active in St. John's Dorcas Society, sings in the church choir and
   is a member of Zenda Arts and Crafts Club.
     They still live on the family farm and enjoy their family and grandchildren.
