Ralph Gene Westerman & Monita Lujean (Howell) Westerman
Ralph Gene Westerman was born June 9, 1932, son of Henry and Edna (Kaltoff)
Westerman. He was baptized June 19, 1932, in St. John's Lutheran Church,
Nashville, Kansas, by Pastor P.G. Krause and confirmed April 14, 1946, by
Pastor Oscar Mueller.
Monita Lujean Westerman was born October 4, 1934, daughter of Alfred M.
and Mary Louise (Frankhauser) Howell. She was confimred at St. John's
Luthyeran Church in 1957 by Pastor Herman Seyfert.
Ralph and Monita were married April 8, 1956, at Pratt, Kansas.
They had three children. Cindy Kay was born February 13, 1962, and died
February 14, 1962. Jerry Alan was born September 24, 1963, and Kimberly
Jean was born February 24, 1966.
Jerry married Karla Werner and they have two children, Kayla Renee and
Jace Devin. They live on a farm near Zenda, Kansas. Kimberly married Allen
Nickelson and they have one child, Kelsie Kay. They live on a farm near
Penokee, Kansas.
Monita was a cosmetologist since 1954, working in Pratt and in a shop in
the home. She was a member of the Dorcas Society and Arts and Craft Club of
Zenda.
Monita died June 14, 1992. She is buried in the Lutheran Cemetery, Nashville.
Burial was conducted by Vacancy Pastor Clint McMullin.
Ralph lives on a farm southwest of Nashville. In the church he serves as
Sunday School Superintendent, Financial Secretary and elder on the Stewardship
Board.
