Rose Kandt Bernhardt is a daughter of Fred and Sophia Schlesener Kandt.
  Rose married Glenn Bernhardt in 1948. They lived in Ramona for seventeen
  years where he was a barber.
       In 1965 Rose and Glenn and their son, Willis, moved to the Kandt farm
  where Rose was born and raised. This farm is three miles south of Woodbine.
  Glenn died in 1967.
       Rose graduated from Woodbine High School in 1931.
       Her son, Willis, attended school at Ramona and Woodbine Grade School,
  Hope High School and Brown Mackie College in Salina. Since graduation Willis
  has been an accountant in Salina and now in Denver, Colorado.
