Fred Brown worked for his brother Elmer Brown in the hardware store in
  Woodbine. He was an excellent tin smith and mechanic.
       He married Orpha McCoy, daughter of Robert McCoy. Fred and Orpha had no
  children. Fred died in 1933.
       His wife Orpha worked in the store in Woodbine, cooked at the school
  and later married John Shank. She now lives in the Lutheran Home in Herington.
