Carl Easter and his wife, Ella Diekmann Easter, and their two children,
  Donna and Martin (Bud), moved to Woodbine from White City, Kansas in 1945.
       Carl was employed as a brakeman on the Rock Island Railroad out of 
  Herington. While residing in Woodbine, Carl served on the city council.
       Ella is the oldest child of Martin and Lydia Diekmann. She attended
  School in Woodbine. Ella enjoyed playingon the Woodbine Women's Town Team
  basketball team during the 1924-1927 time frame. The team was coached by
  Laura Diekmann Shank.
       Donna graduated from Woodbine High in 1951. She married Ralph Slayton
  and they lived in Salina, Kansas, where he was a member of Salina Police
  Department. They had one son, Carl, who lives in Oklahoma.
       Martin graduated from Woodbine High in 1954. He married Carol Johnson
  from Salina, Kansas. They have one son, Kenton, who graduates from high 
  school this year (1987). They now reside in Monett, Missouri.
       Carl and Ella moved to Herington in 1957. Carl passed away in 1980. 
  Ella still resides in Herington.
