Eugene Wayne Fells, second son of Clifford and Anna Fells, was born January
  16, 1940 near Enterprise. They moved to rural Woodbine in 1946. After graduating
  from Woodbine High School with the class of 1957, Eugene, better known as "Pete",
  began his career of operating heaby equipment. He was in the U.S. Army Reserve
  from 1962 until 1968.
       Pete lived in Woodbine until 1969, when he married Judy (Connet) Warnica
  of Abilene. She was born March 26, 1939, and had two sons, Brad C. Warnica and
  Brian G. Warnica (see related stories).
       Judy was a computer operator at Vacu-Blast Corporation for 10 years. They
  resided in Abilene until 1972, when they moved to Woodbine and opened Fells
  Market. Judy operated the grocery store for 9 1/2 years, while Pete continued 
  his soil conservation business. In 1978 they built a home on 6 acres south of
  Woodbine, where they spend their summer months gardening. In 1982, Judy opened
  the Ceramic Cottage in Herington.
       Pete has been in charge of the annual fireworks display at Woodbine's
  Fourth of July Celebration since 1974. Judy was a charter member of the Woodbine
  Fourth of July group called the Sky Rockettes. She is currently vice-chairman
  of the Woodbine Boosters.
