James H. Gillett was born April 22, 1902 and died July 1, 1976. He was a
  son of James A. Gillett, Jr. and Emma Hazel Gillett.
       He married Thelma McCoy December 16, 1923. Thelma was the daughter of
  Robert and Lavina McCoy of Woodbine. Thelma was born November 16, 1904.
       James and Thelma lived at the east edge of Woodbine where he farmed until
  they moved to Herington. Thelma now lives at the Lutheran Home in Herington.
       They were the parents of four children. One daughter, Wanda, died in
  infancy.
       Son, Gene, was born February 25, 1925 and died January 23, 1985. Gene was
  married to Wanda Tiemeier June 24, 1975. They lived in Salina, Kansas. Their
  children are: Jim, married Judy Wendt, has two children, Jayme and Jarod and
  lives at Lost Springs, Kansas; Bob, married Deb Franta, has two children, Sean
  and Brandon and lives at Lincolnville, Kansas; Gayle, born November 9, 1957
  and died April 23, 1977;; Kevin born in 1964; Kyle born in Julyu 1976.
       Son, Robert, born September 5, 1930, lives in Wichita. He married Darlene
  Mickey and she died in 1981. He married Betty in 1982.
       Robert's children are: Mike of San Antonio, Texas, wife Lenora and they
  have no children. Tom of Wichita married Susan in 1986.
       Daughter Carol married Gaylen Kickhaefer (see their story).
