of Wakefield, Kansas on January 25, 1899. They moved to a farm north of
Woodbine and lived for a year. They then moved to the farm of his parents at
Enterprise, Kansas. This was their home until Mr. Gugler passed away on June

They were the parents of five children: Clifford C. Gugler, born January
11, 1900 and passed away March 10, 1977; Mildred S., born September 17, 1902;
Margaret M., born December 18, 1905; Clarence A., born December 5, 1907 and
passed away February 2, 1965; and Gurtis H., born August 25, 1909.
Mrs. Gugler continued living on the farm until September 1944 when she
bought the home of C.J. Mann and moved to Woodbine with daughter, Mildred and
family. Mrs. Gugler continued living here until her death, March 28, 1967, at
the age of 91. Most of the family attended the Woodbine Methodist Church and
the schools in and around Woodbine.
