Curtis Gugler
Curtis is the youngest son of Charles and Anna Gugler who lived
northwest of Woodbine. Curtis married Martha Kaiser May 24, 1943 in
Kansas City, Missouri. After marriage they farmed for a while. In 1944
they went to work in Abilene and later in Hillsboro.
After that he worked for ranches in Oregon, Wyoming and Washington
State. He returned to Herington in 1973. In 1977 they bought the Steckel
house in Woodbine from Mary and Everett Reddy.
They have two daughters, Shirley and Mary; four grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren.
At the present time Curtis works for the city of Woodbine.
